Today our guest speaker was former Streatorite, Mr. John Van Fleet Jr. from Constellation Nuclear. John currently is the Site Vice President at their LaSalle County Station and he came in to talk to the group prior to giving us a site tour this Friday. Formerly Exelon, John shared his path back to the Lasalle Station and prior roles he has held in his 18 year career. He provided us a history of this local nuclear station, operations within, and the rebranding that occurred when Exelon split and the generation side of operations became Constellation. John also discussed the importance of decarbonizing energy, future trends, and challenges they are constantly addressing. Thank you John for coming in and sharing!
