Today Mr. Bob Dieken came in and spoke with us. Still an owner of Dieken-Straughn Farm Management, Bob also had past ownerships with Ancona Grain and Deke Trucking. With a rich family history in our area, he shared growing up in Streator, traveling after high school, and ultimately coming back to start his career. Bob had a lot of great advice on managing employees, workplace skills, and investing in yourself financially. He also provided advice on controlling overhead, tax laws, and on understanding your market area. Bob is always a pleasure to speak with and he has so much knowledge to share.
